This tester is a simple battery-powered device that enables you to accurately test your PH levels in a spa or swimming pool. Unlike budget pH testers on the market, this unit can be calibrated, enabling you to get the most accurate readings.

The digital tester comes with two sets of pH calibration sachets. To calibrate your tester, dissolve each sachet in water in a small container, following the instructions that come with the unit. 

Calibration steps

1. Dissolve one of each of these sachets into a separate container of water. (The sachet should state on it how much water in each container - I believe it is 250ml - 1 metric cup, but ensure you follow directions on the sachet)
2. Turn the unit and tap the down button 'Mode/Cal' until it shows up 6.86 which is the first solution of dissolved buffer powder to test.
3. Remove the cover from the end of the unit and dip the electrode into the container of water that you have dissolved the 6.86 buffer powder
4. Hold the down arrow button 'Mode/Cal' for 6 seconds. When it flashes 3 times it has calibrated.
5. Tap the down button 'Mode/cal until it shows up 4.00
6. Dip electrode into container with 4.00 sachet dissolved in water
7. Hold the down arrow button 'Mode/Cal' for 6 seconds. When it flashes 3 times it has calibrated.
8. Tap the down button 'Mode/cal until it shows up 9.18
9. Dip electrode into container with 9.18 sachet dissolved in water
10. Hold the down arrow button 'Mode/Cal' for 6 seconds. When it flashes 3 times it has calibrated.
